*Vivica A. Fox has been taking meetings around Los Angeles in an effort to hustle herself a talk show gig. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the actress has been in talks with distributors to pitch a syndicated daytime talk show that would be similar in tone to “The Tyra Banks Show.”
*Spike Lee’s four-part Hurricane Katrina documentary for HBO, “When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts,” will have a preview screening in New Orleans on Aug. 16. The first two hours of the documentary premieres on Monday, Aug. 21; the last two will run the following night.
*“And 1” star Waliyy “Main Event” Dixon and rapper Chuck D. have teamed with sportskool for an On Demand series that introduces viewers to “streetball.” Shot on location at Behagen Park in Bronx, New York, Main Event gives in-depth instruction on how to execute astonishing plays, dunks, passes, defense maneuvers, and how to make a name for yourself on the playground. Currently competing in the 2006 And 1 Mixtape Tour, Waliyy "Main Event" Dixon, has managed to become one of the most credited streetballers in the game. The “Streetball” instruction is currently available On Demand via sportskool.
